Very easy to use only 3 pieces. No blades to change and it is compact. I use it several times a week and cook for hundreds of people. It is a true value.

Just bought this cutter. Firstly it is very safe to use. Still haven't figured out all the settings but whatever I have done slicing and dicing looks pretty easy.

Only issue I have is that the blade is not large enough to cut slices of a medium or large apple.

great at slicing, easy to use, the instructions were a little hard to figure out 2 settings, cleans relatively easy, sturdy and super quick. you can slice a cucumber in seconds. even large cucumbers. i havengt tried the other settings yet, but so much quicker than a processor and easier to clean up

LOVE, LOVE this mandolin, easy to use, sliced beets for pickling, adjusted the slicer setting to widest setting, was the perfect thickness. Slicing onions or any vegetable. I also used it to slice sausage for perfect medalions. Word of caution, you can still get cut when cleaning, my fault, but the blades are very sharp. If you are worried about using a traditional mandolin, get this, you will love it!

This is an ingenious idea! I like anything that slices and dices, and this is an improvement on the traditional model. I'm a massage therapist and I have to take care of my hands. By moving the slicer, not the food, your fingers are protected behind the pusher. I have/use a similar slicer from Pampered Chef and I paid twice the price 🙄. I made this purchase as a gift. It's versatile, easy to use, and there's no risk to fingers. Cleaning is fairly easy with the included tool. I'm a fan!

This gadget saves my hands from pain when chopping. I have very limited use of my right hand and pain in my left, so I can put a veggie in the chute and press the lever with my left arm if needed. I’ve had this for over a year and the blade is still sharp. I would recommend this to anyone with hand trouble. It’s easiest to clean if you rinse it right away and use a regular scrub brush instead of the tiny one it comes with. It’s worth the cleanup hassle if it saves pain or time chopping. It is sturdy enough with the suction cups that it stays on the counter or cutting board without needing to be held down while in use. Another necessary feature for hand-challenged folks. The chopping settings are fine for what I make and even I can turn the dials to set the thickness.

easy to setup , use, and cleanup. Cleanup should be done soon afterwards...cleaning up after food has dried will take more work. Instructions are ok. The thickness dial was simple to figure out..the other two knobs will take more than to decode which combination of settings to use. Once that's set, food prep is easy. would be good to have a way to have a bigger tray for the prepped food though. the food chute is good for small to medium size vegetable and fruits...larger items will need to be cut to fit the chute.

Oh man, I have bought some junk in my day but this one has to be right up there on the top of the pile!
On my first use at trying to chip a spud, the leg broke off. Quick repair job later and I tried to clean it. Yeah, that's not easy at all. So I had a wee go at a carrot after that thinking that a spud was just too much. Nope, the carrot was a bad experience too. Thought to myself that sure this can not be right so started to play around with the blade setting again. Now this thing comes with no instruction booklet, they were on the outside of the badly battered box that it arrived in, from Mars it seems as it took almost 4 weeks to get here.

Having made a complete hack job at my carrot, I gave it another bath to try and clean it out. I then tried an onion. Surely this thing could dice an onion? It did! Badly, but it did it! Tried again to wash out the mushed onion that had stuck to every crevice inside. Gave up and put it straight in the bin.

If I could give this thing a 0 star review, I would.

Das Gerät ist eine echt tolle Erfindung. Habe es zwar noch nicht lange aber Kartoffeln und Äpfel gingen perfekt zum schneiden. Die Schärfe der Klinge auch TOP. Heute machte ich aber eine Entdeckung. Die Schneide hatte leichte Ecken und Kanten. Ich überlegte schon ob das Obst oder Gemüse zu hart war. Dem war nicht so. Der weiße Stößel mit dem man das ganze Gemüse/Obst rein schiebt geht teilweise zu weit hinein sodass die Klinge ein wenig vom Kunststoffstößel erfasst. Ich will nur vermeiden das euch das gleiche passiert. Einfach aufpassen und den Stößel nicht zu stark drücken.

this is the best slicer I have ever used I have arthritis in hands and this is amazing. I sliced potatoes and onions for layered tattie pot very quick no effort at all, I don't understand one review saying no good for onions etc.i can chop them thin or into little bits has he watched YouTube how to use it. I also done chips granted they not as thick as by hand but thicker than fries. very safe hands not near blades at all I also have a mandolin but it never slices right to the end and plastic slices off some veg holder, so I'm very happy with this quick safe and does the job.

Ich hatte mir diesen Gemüseschneider gekauft, weil ich das Prinzip interessant finde: Bei normalen Gemüseschneider wird die Kraft der Hand / Bewegung auf das Gemüse konzentriert, das man mit dieser Kraft an dem Messer vorbei führt. Eigentlich ist das so, als würde man ein Messer hinlegen und das Gemüse vorbeireiben. Tatsächlich schneiden wir aber mit dem Messer und halten das Gemüse fest. Eben weil Stahl stabilier ist, als Gemüse. Und genauso funktioniert es hier. Die ganze Kraft der Hand geht auf das Messer, das an dem Gemüsen vorbei gedrückt wird. Dann geht die Bewegung auch noch fast senkrecht nach unten, was eine höhere Kraftausbeute garantiert.

Doch da alles aus Plastik ist hatte ich so meine Bedenken, ob das alles nicht sehr wackelig und instabil wird. Das Produkt sah wie so ein typisches Billigprodukt aus. Doch weit gefehlt!

++++ Positiv ++++

+++ Die Idee ist tatsächlich sehr gut umgesetzt. Der Hobel steht sicher und ich habe noch nie besser und vor allem schneller Gemüse gehobelt.
+++ Die Hobeldicke kann von fast Null auf ca. 6 mm eingestellt werden
+++ Die Finger sind zu keiner Zeit in Gefahr

+++ Fünf z.T. dickere Möhren gleichzeitig (!) in den Schacht eingeführt (mehr ging nicht) und in kürzester Zeit in 5/6 mm dicke Scheiben gehobelt.
++ Möhren in kleinere Stücke geschnitten, so dass sie quer reinpassen und mit der Julienne Funktion in kleine Stifte für Saucen geschnitten - super!
++ Eine ganze (!) Zwiebel (mit dem Kopf zuerst) in den Schacht eingeführt (Julienne Schnitt), schon hat man ohne tränende Augen klein geschnittene Zwiebeln (evtl, noch die Ränder vorher zwei mal einrizten).
+++ Viele Radieschen in den Schacht geworfen und in kürzester Zeit hauchzart für einen Salat gehobelt. Und das beste: Zu keiner Zeit Sorge um die Finger.
+ Gurken sind natürlich auch kein Problem - wobei ich hier glaube, dass man das mit einem normalen Gemüsehobel etwas schnell hinkriegen würde.
+++ Selbst eine komplette Paprika (geviertelt), die Viertel ineinander gelegt und in den Schacht eingeführt, wird mit wenigen Schüben zu Streifen geschnitten.

Schneller und sicherer Gemüse schneiden geht nicht...!

+++ Gut durchdacht ist auch der Auffangbehälter. Da er auf der Bodenseite eine Kerbe hat, die in den zweiten Fuß greift, bleibt dieser immer am Platz (ist allerdings etwas aufwändiger zu spülen).
+- Aufbau geht zügig, unwesentlich aufwändiger als bei einem normalen Gemüsehobel.

Ich hab schon einige Gemüsehobel besessen, aber dieser ist mit großem Abstand der beste. Ich bin jedenfalls völlig begeistert - beschleunigt den leidigen Gemüsezerkleinerungsprozess ungemein. Und vor allem: Nie wieder angehobelte Finger!

------ Kritik -------

Und trotzdem gibt es auch Schatten, der aber konstruktionsbedingt ist:

--Der Hobel kann nicht auseinandergenommen werden. Und so muss man nach dem Gebrauch durch alle drei Öffnungen am besten von beiden Seiten Wasser durchlaufen lassen, um die dort verbliebenen Reste rauszuspülen. Manchmal geht das nur mit dem beigelegten Pinsel, der beidseitig zu nutzen ist. Schwierig wird es wohl, wenn Gemüse antrocknet, deswegen würde ich das immer sofort nach Gebrauch machen. Der Aufwand ist dadurch höher als bei anderen Hobeln.

-- Wenn sich Gemüse am Messer festsetzt, ist es etwas fummeliger als bei anderen Hobel das Messer schnell zu säubern.

-- Die Fläche, an der das Gemüse vorbeigeführt wird, scheint die Farbe des Gemüses anzunehmen (Möhren). Mich stört es nicht, aber es sollte erwähnt werden.

-- Die Einstellungen für den Julienne ist etwas fummelig.

- Durch die Auffangschale und den Schacht braucht das Ding etwas mehr Platz im Schrank.

+++++++ Haltbarkeit +++++++

Zur Haltbarkeit kann ich noch keine Aussagen machen. Da bin ich selber gespannt - das wird sich zeigen. Aber wenn es mal ein solches Gerät aus Metall geben sollte, mit auswechselbaren Klingen, wäre ich auch bereit viel mehr Geld dafür zu bezahlen.

Fazit: Tolle Erfindung, bei der man sich fragt, wieso da noch kein anderer früher drauf gekommen ist. Ich bin rundum zufrieden und hoffe, dass ich noch lange Spaß daran haben werde. Evtl. gibt es dann in einem Jahr ein Update.

Update nach einem Jahr:

Wir nutzen den Hobel etwas seltener, weil wir nun mehr Tiefkühlgemüse nutzen. Aber er funktioniert nach wie vor perfekt, und ich würde ihn immer wieder kaufen. Es bleibt bei einer klaren Kaufempfehlung.

I bought this with some reservations, thinking of the kind of gadgets you see demonstrated that look so easy on the video and then turn out to not be that at all. However, I have been absolutely delighted. This really works – it really does make prepping vegetables very easy, a lot faster and you can do things with this that you would be very hard pushed to do by hand.
Best of all, it means that my teenagers have got no excuses now for not helping with the cooking – I think this is pretty safe and relatively fool proof :-)

Relatively easy to clean too – you just swish it out under the tap reasonably vigourously after you’ve used it.

Wouldn’t want to live without it now- total game changer.
